LIFE.....life is a paradox.. its the simplest thing yet the most complicated one....sweetest yet the bitterest....seems like never ending n ends suddenly.
Many people keep on pondering to find a formula or a way to win at the most important game called life..... n if it works out for them, they preach those ways as rules, or key to success n propagate it to a common man who doesnt think that he is able to solve the mystery of life, believes on such rules and start living his life according to them.
Those preachers can b kings, leaders, religious scholars or people with influence....they may have many agendas n their teachings r based on them to eventually benefit them.
Years after years and centuries after centuries....following them has created today's society and its so called "NORMS".
Rules of living, scales of success ,ideas of right and wrong, milestones and goals , ideas of happiness and sadness all r driven from these basic norms that r engraved in our minds over generations by repeating the agendas which were never ours..........
yet we keep on following them and hope it to take us on the path of real "success" or something meaningful.
humans were created for far far beyond things they have achieved, one should follow his/her own instincts to unfold their destiny. There is no right or wrong..... whatever works for you, is the right path!

Road test
wow.....we are here finally writing about the road test...i know i know its too late but someone is always going thru this frustrating phase so here is a high five to you....and a big smile too ;)
ok lets get started.....road test is the hardest part of the driving license in oman mostly because it lacks standarization....i mean everytime u get a new ROP and they often have a different view about little details.......but to relief of the most major things they think which r right or wrong are almost same.
there are many blogs or posts i have read about it giving all the details of drivng test rules n all so i will not talk about them......will try to put links to those blogs at the end of mine.
so here are few things i think i need to add onto the information available already :

there are many blogs or posts i have read about it giving all the details of drivng test rules n all so i will not talk about them......will try to put links to those blogs at the end of mine.
so here are few things i think i need to add onto the information available already :
- going for road test for the first time.....lets be honest, they r not going to pass u on first attempt, thats not how they do it in oman so there is no point in being nervous about it....go relaxed as u dont fear whats already understood.....n take notes n get familiar with the procedure....also try to drive ur best so that u can know if he finds that ok or points out any flaws in it
- always ask the ROP what he has to say at the end of the test.dont let him just explain it to ur instructor.....ask him about your mistakes and note them not to repeat in future
- your instructor is not your friend until he has skimmed enough money out of you......take my word for that......i am not blaming anyone here but thats how things are....no matter how sweet they are or pretend to care......
- never ever go for a road test if u think u r not ready but your instructor pushes u to......he has his interests and u should have yours......if you think u r still making same mistakes,if u think u r still lacking in some areas,if u think u r not confident enough yet .....DONT go for test.
- areas that i think need more attention are round abouts as i got failed three times due to my mistakes on round abouts......so b very careful at them, make sure no car is already in round about when u r entering...look specially to the left if there is a straight road coming directly towards round about....if u can see a car there aproaching, wait for it as they can come in speed n mostly coz ROP will fail u if u dont ;)
- also u need to practice parking ...perfect parking is the first thing they check....they will start test and ask you to park in the parking lot before they take u to road.....so if you want to go to the road u need to park perfectly and reversing perfectly out of it.
thats it for today ......will get back to you with second part of it soon.....stay strong u guys n just remember you r not into it alone.....n if u dont get thru its not ur fault.....its fault of instructors who fail to convey delibrately/non delibrately what is needed to b ready for it....hang in there u will make thru.....n then u never have to go thru it NEVER EVER AGAIN :)
have a good day ahead !
slope test
SLOPE TEST:
So here we are in the slope test. In this test u have to drive on a slope.....they have a red light while ascending on the slope.....u have to stop there n when the light goes green u have to move car forward without rolling back....trick is very simple..........when u stop on the slope break ,n pull the hand break....when light is green.....first give accelator till the needle reaching 1....then leave the handbreak n give more accelator.....thats it......this way car will never roll back....
CONGRATULATIONS u have passed the slope test:)
drum test (coming from the right)
DRUM TEST:
COMING FROM THE RIGHT:
When coming from the right make sure ur car is in the centre of single barel on the right side n steering is straight.......if its not move steering full to one side or the other till u achieve this coz if its not properly positioned now it will make harder to manage it later......so now reverse it looking out of right side back seat window....(now trick is dont look out of the window but through the small triangle that is next to the window....yeah the one that that doesnt roll up or down....got it? If yes gud n if no then go n have a look at ur car ;).......ok now looking out of this triangle look at 2nd drum in the left row of drums....when u see it full n a lil space behind it thru the small triangle, now move steering completely to the right side
(To remember.....coming from right cut steering to right, coming from legt cut the steering to left simple)
Now reverse car till u see the car doing inside drum row.......not too much just till the door handle on back door.......now straiten the steering wheel n move a lil back making sure car is in.....now adjust the space on both sides as done from left side n proceed accordingly.......this time when u will reverse all the way outbof drums , the police guy wont ask u to come forward again rather if u a pass he will ask u to take ur car from the side towards the slope for slop test....that i will discuss in my next post.....if u like what i write or u have any querries, plz leave a comment......best of luck for drums :D
Drum test
2. Drum test
So u r done with the signal test....now its time for drum test.....in this test u will b alone in the car n u have to first go straight ahead between 2 rows of drums(barrels) n then first come from right side in reverse without touching the drums n then doing the very same from the left side.......seems scary? Yeah it did to me as i didnt drive before in my country so reversing n that roo without touching the barrels was a big deal but thanks to my instructor.....it was nothing more then practicing a technique n just replicating it later n alhamdulilah i cleared it in first attempt.....though i practiced it for 10 days before test.......so first we will discussncoming from the left side as its simpler
COMING FROM LEFT SIDE:
When coming from left side make sure ur car is in the centre of single barrels on the left n steering wheel is straight.......now look out of ur left side back window n reverse till the time u see the second drum (full n clear) in the right row of drums n a lil space behind it......at this point rotate steering wheel full to the left side n reverse looking into left side back view mirror.....when u see the handle of the door has gone in now look from right side back view mirror n see on which side u need to make space......the side u want to make space on, turn the steering full to the opposite side till u r in the middle of the row......straight ur steering(very important) and move a lil in reverse now stop n see both mirrors n look at the last drum on both sides ,r they clear? Do they have enough space with them.....if yes gud.....if no then adjust accordingly(remeber move the steering to side opposite to where u need more space like if u need more space on right move full steering to left n before proceeding back make it starit again)...
Make sure any adjustments should b made before going back
A tip that worked best for me when adjusting according to last drum.....always leave more space on the side on which steering wheel is.....more then the other side......the day u will learn that u wont hit any drum after that
Now u r adjusted.....strait steering n move back slowly till u r out of drums
Change the gear n starit ahead between the drum n now turn to right side
Make sure u dont move steering while coming forward too

When u listen about this u just want to scream.....why god why.....why is it so hard to get one here in oman......i m still in process of getting one myself so will be updating everyone alongside n also the tips n tricks that got me thru that nightmare

Round about 100 m away, 200 meter away,300 meter away
No entry
Crossways
Animal passage
T junction
Handicap parking
Dotted line
Continuous line
In next post we will discuss about drum and slop test n easiest way to get thru them....

Hi everyone
hardest part of anything is to start it....to fix the sails and start the journey :). this post is supposed to be the introductory one regarding what this blog is going to be about..... its hard to define limits and neither i want to.... so this blog will encompass everything that comes into life of a young woman.... may it be fashion, books, movies, music, make up,career, kids, mariage, social issues, poetry or more deeper things that no one talks about like anxiety, depression, delimmas of today, philosophy or just a laymans attempt to understand things.
so let the show begin ;)
